Jewellery Care

Keep the Shine. Keep the Story.

Every Heer Da Shingar piece is made to be worn, styled and enjoyed.

Our jewellery is artificial and designed with anti-tarnish properties, but like all fashion jewellery, its finish and longevity depend on how it is cared for.

A little care can go a long way.

The Golden Rules of Jewellery Care

01 — Keep It Away From Water

Avoid wearing your jewellery while bathing, swimming or doing activities where it will be exposed to excessive water or moisture.

Water and prolonged moisture exposure can affect the finish of jewellery over time.

Take it off before you take the plunge.

02 — Perfume First. Jewellery Last.

Perfumes, deodorants, lotions, creams, makeup and other cosmetic products can contain ingredients that may affect the finish of jewellery.

A simple rule:

Apply your fragrance and cosmetics first. Let them dry. Then put on your jewellery.

03 — Keep It Away From Sweat & Moisture

Prolonged exposure to sweat and humidity can affect the appearance and finish of artificial jewellery.

For everyday wear, remove your jewellery after use and allow it to dry naturally before storing it.

04 — Store Each Piece With Care

Avoid throwing all your jewellery into one box.

Store pieces separately whenever possible to prevent:

  • Scratches
  • Tangling
  • Friction between pieces
  • Unnecessary contact with moisture

Keep your jewellery in a clean, dry and enclosed space, preferably in its original packaging or a suitable jewellery pouch/box.

05 — Clean Gently

If your jewellery needs cleaning, use a soft, dry and clean cloth to gently wipe the surface.

Avoid:

  • Abrasive cloths
  • Harsh cleaning agents
  • Household chemicals
  • Scrubbing
  • Excessive rubbing

Gentle is better.

How to Store Your Jewellery

When you're not wearing your Heer Da Shingar pieces:

Clean → Dry → Separate → Store

Before putting a piece away:

  1. Gently wipe it with a soft, dry cloth.
  2. Make sure it is completely dry.
  3. Store it separately from other pieces where possible.
  4. Keep it away from direct moisture and humidity.
  5. Keep the jewellery inside a closed jewellery box, pouch or its original packaging.

For Your Favourite Pieces

Some pieces naturally become the ones you reach for again and again.

For jewellery that you wear frequently, make it a habit to:

Wear it → Wipe it → Store it

This simple routine can help maintain its appearance for longer.

A Note About Anti-Tarnish Jewellery

Our jewellery is designed with anti-tarnish properties, but anti-tarnish does not mean completely tarnish-proof or immune to changes over time.

The appearance and longevity of a piece can vary depending on factors such as:

  • Frequency of wear
  • Exposure to water
  • Sweat
  • Perfume and cosmetics
  • Humidity
  • Storage conditions
  • Contact with chemicals

Proper care helps your jewellery retain its finish and appearance for longer.

Different Pieces, Different Care

Certain jewellery designs, finishes and materials may require specific care instructions.

[Material-specific care instructions to be added once the final product/material specifications are confirmed.]

Where a product requires additional care, the relevant instructions can be displayed directly on its product page.

The Little Things Matter

Jewellery doesn't need complicated maintenance.

Just a little attention between wears can help keep your favourite pieces looking beautiful.

Wear it often.
Care for it gently.
Keep it yours.
